Bend Surgery Center recently completed a successful unannounced survey by the Joint Commission in November of 2012. This is a comprehensive survey of the facility to validate the quality of care, the integrity of the safety systems and processes utilized to care for patients.
Simultaneously, the Joint Commission performed a deemed survey on behalf of the Centers for Medicare Services. That survey was also successful. The Bend Surgery Center strives to make changes as recommended by the Joint Commission and CMS as they are distributed. The philosophy of making those changes as soon as possible keeps the center ready for surveys and keeps the quality of care at high level. Congratulations to the staff who performed at a commendable level during the survey.
